Who Are We?

Crime victims are people just like you. Mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, sisters, brothers, cousins, grandparents and friends who have had our lives impacted by crime and tragedy. 

• We are the people who have had the unspeakable happen and have had our lives changed forever. 

• We are the people who looked on, in disbelief, as the criminal justice system failed to protect us or our loved ones from the offenders, the violent and the deadly. 

• We are the families that decided not to be defined by our victimization but to fight hard to rebalance the scales of justice.

• We are the people who saw flaws in the justice system and asked why? 

Officials said the laws did not allow them to do better. It’s time to change the laws. 

• We are the people who work hard to use our experiences to better the criminal justice system for everyone. 

• We are Colorado Victims for Justice.
